As President and Principal Consultant of Human Resources GPS, Inc., Shelley Addy helps start-up to medium-sized business leaders build their Human Resources infrastructures, understand their obligations – and rights – as employers, and safely navigate their employment relationships.  After spending nine years in Operations Management, Ms. Addy has gone on to serve 21 years as a senior-level HR leader and advisor in several spaces including services, manufacturing, biotech, aerospace, high tech, healthcare, and non-profit. 

Ms. Addy’s expertise is most notable in the areas of interviewing and selection; management training/coaching; employee relations; policy formation, legal compliance, and litigation prevention; and in forensic HR and claims management, where she has prevailed in 11 out of 11 employment claims brought against her employers and clients. 

Ms. Addy holds a B.A. in English/Writing from The Pennsylvania State University, is a 2010 nominee of the San Diego NAWBO Chapter’s Bravo! Awards in the Trailblazer category, and a two-time Nominee and 2009 Honoree of the San Diego Business Journal’s Women Who Mean Business Awards.  She was most recently honored as a finalist in the 2011 HR Professional of the Year Awards.
